I really am thankful..

The unemployed number of people is outrageous in this country. I have several friends that were recently 'let go' from their jobs. One was at a car dealership because they weren't getting good business. She wasn't the only one that was let go from there. Another friend worked as a doctor's office. Her degree of whatever you get from where she went was for Medical Billing & Coding. That's pretty bad that she was let go from that job, but the doctor's office had an outrageous amount of people at their front desk. I just read on Heidi's blog that she was let go from her job yesterday. I don't know her, but I feel bad for her. I, thankfully, still have a job. I know for a fact it's going to be difficult finding a job next year. I'm picky. I shouldn't be picky. Here in the valley we have 2 school districts within about 10 miles or so of each other. About 15 miles over the mountain from my sister's house (she lives 8 miles from me) is another school district. She lives 1 mile from the schools in the district she lives in. About 15 miles from the elementary school that we live in is another school district. Right over in the other valley which is about 10 miles is another school district. What is the need for all of these school districts? The school I graduated from had a graduating class that would average around 80-85 students each year. The biggest graduating class what last year with 96 people. The school district I live in is about 100-120. I'm not completely sure. The one about 15 miles from my sister is over 100. I think it's usually 130 or somewhere close. I'm not sure about the one in the other valley or the one 15 miles from us is. I think no matter how bad the economy is, people in the education field will always have a job. People can't stop sending their kids to school. If they wouldn't send their kids to school, they wouldn't get an education. They wouldn't get into college. If they don't get into college, they can't get a good job. If they can't get a good job, the economy will go back in the shitter.

I don't pay much attention to politics or the news because I never have time to. I like to watch Good Morning American but I am always running late. The news at night is impossible to watch because i have two little kids chasing each other around the house. Then myself or Ryan has to chase them to make sure they don't hit their head off the kitchen table or get into everything.

Hope you all have a good Friday and a good weekend. Does anyone have and good plans?

It is terrible how people are losing jobs. I know many many people with teaching degrees who haven't been able to get jobs. Most of the teachers I worked with lived about an hour from the school because that is where jobs the were.
