I'm a geek.

I'm a big geek when it comes to news and weather. Seriously.

We are having a pretty active hurricane season this year. But back in 2005 it was a little worse at this time. Katrina had just hit and New Orleans was deveastated. And they still are. They are extremly lucky that Gustav didn't hit them full force.

While Gustav was still in the gulf upgrading and downgrading it strength, three more storms were forming in the Atlantic. You all probably know that. Hanna had hit the Bahamas. Hanna is headed for the coast in the next day. From what I hear, it's a pretty fast moving storm heading our way and hitting around Saturday. Ike and Josephine are out pretty far in the Atlantic still forming. I think Ike is a catagory 4.

What I'm saying, Get your bags packed. Who knows what we will get hit with. We're north. And we're inland. But that means nothing after a storm has made landfall. We know how Ivan was here in Schuylkill County back in whatever year it was. It was horrible. Schools were being cancled because of power outages and blocked roads. I couldn't get to school for several days because the side of the mountain blew out because of all the water pressure. I wasn't taking the long way. It was wayy too much gas. Back then, gas wasn't almost $4 a gallon. But I was still tight on money!

I'm semi-excited because I may be able to get out of school for several days. Because, their is a creek behind my neighbors yard. And it always floods. It never reaches here. But it floods. And their is a creek, the same creek, in front of the school. That floods too making it impossible to drive through there without hydroplaining. It's just impossible. It blocks the main highway and the entrance to the school. Even if I would use the old main highway, I still wouldn't be able to make it into the school grounds because I would have to make my car fly across the road and the gate out front. Unfortunatly, I don't have those super powers! No matter how much time I get off, I'm still graduating December 20th. You have no clue how excited I am.

Get ready fellow bloggers. If we get out of school, you will hear from me more than you do now! :)
