An extra week : ].

With my senior year of college starting next week, I start what you call student teaching and what the school district calls 'guest teaching' .. Now most schools start the last week of August or the day or two after labor day. Right??

I was soo busy with being pregnant and not knowing whether I was moving into another apartment and fighting with Megan's dad about custody that I really didn't focus on my last year of college. I'm going to be student teaching at State College School District. I'm super excited. It's soo close to my apartment. I live in the Park Hill apartments.. I really should live in a 'family apartment' But I wasn't focused on that when I started college 4 years ago. I wasn't expecting to have a baby and never moved.. but whatever. It's 2 bedrooms. On a good day, I can walk to school and save gas. How freakin' sweet is that? It's 1.17 miles from my house!.. Isn't that cool? I think it's amazing. Anway.. off topic.! I thought school started August 25th. I really wasn't in much contact with the school.. And I never really received much information. Whenever I did receive something I just skimmed over it making sure it wasn't something needed for the start and threw it away. I probably received some calendar or something and now, that calendar is with the rest of Park Hill's trash. And I never really thought of looking on the website. I did at one point.. but I just skimmed it to see what the district was like. I received some stuff in the mail last week about 'Guest Teacher Inservice' I don't know what will go on there or whatever.. All I know is that I'm expected Friday the 22nd. In that pack of papers that was sent, their was a calendar. Imagine that. So, I look over the calendar. And guess what. School doesn't start the 25th. It starts the 2nd. The day after labor day. So I get an extra week at home! :)

Enjoy the rest of your summer! I know you teachers [becka, the only one that will read this] don't want to go back to school!.. I sure don't..
