As we all know, we are going through an economical hard time or however you word it. Gas prices are sky high. Car manufacturers are cutting back on SUV's because they suck up so much gas. But what do you do if you have a large family? You can't fit 3 or 4 kids in a little fuel efficient car. Theirs no way. So you have to buy a larger car that can accommodate your needed space.
I have 2 kids. I have a boyfriend. I had a little VW convertible bug until I found out I was pregnant with Natalie. It was enough for Megan and I. When Michael came along, it was more difficult because he is taller. But we managed. I knew for a fact that two children and two adults would not fit in that car. If we went on vacation, that would really suck. But anywhere we go we need a diaper bag. Two car seats cannot fit in that backseat. I'm lucky I fit one in there. So, when I found out I was expecting, I gave up my little bug. I searched and searched to see if I could find the right car. I came across a fuel-efficent Chevy Cobalt. An orange one. I bought it. I love it.
Those of you with kids, is the price of fuel and economy problems making you think twice about having more kids? Is it making you think twice about having one child? I always dreamed of having one boy and two girls. That was my perfect family. I wanted to get married at 24. Have all 3 kids before I turned 30 and get a permanent teaching job right out of college.
Well, I have my 2 girls. I don't have my one boy. But the economy problems and rising gas prices are making me thing twice about even considering what it would be like. Sometimes I don't want to think about it. At all. If I were to have another child, I would have to get another new car. I couldn't fit 3 kids in my car. It's too small. If I waited maybe 6-7 years, maybe. But I don't want my kids that far apart. That's like my dad. He's 17 years older than his brother!
With that, do you really want more kids? I want your opinion. I want to know what you think!
What kind of car do you have? Is it fuel efficient? Or does it get 10 miles to a gallon?

1 Lovely notes:
i have a suv-dodge nitro. i only get about 17-20 mpg. but i deal. and yes i do want to have at least one more child. we just learn to do without some things. and learn how to be a little frugal at times.
